Traivone Smith founded Nova Titan Systems in 2024 after years of working inside the infrastructure that powers banks, schools, retail environments, and industrial facilities across Texas. As a Black technologist from rural West Texas, he witnessed firsthand how lack of digital infrastructure limits economic opportunity, education access, and healthcare delivery in underserved communities.
He saw veterans in rural areas struggling with unreliable VA telehealth connections, small-town schools lacking proper cybersecurity protection, and government facilities operating with outdated infrastructure. He built Nova Titan Systems to change that—bringing enterprise-grade IT to the federal, state, and local government agencies serving these communities.

Today, Nova Titan Systems serves federal agencies (DoD, VA, USDA), state governments, and local agencies (cities, counties, school districts) with mission-critical IT infrastructure. With 300+ projects completed and SAM.gov Active status (UEI: CZ8BLZMSKZ66, CAGE: 170W6), the company is expanding its impact while pursuing additional certifications (Texas HUB, SBA 8(a), MBE) to serve more underserved communities.
